2. Dashboard
The Dashboard is the first screen you see after logging in. It provides a real-time overview of your crypto portfolio.
2.1 Welcome State
If you have not imported any transactions yet, the Dashboard shows a welcome message:
"Welcome to CriptoClaro! Import your first CSV file to see your portfolio and calculate your taxes."
Click "Import transactions" to go directly to the import page.
2.2 Portfolio Overview
Once you have confirmed transactions in the system, the Dashboard displays:
- Total value β the aggregate USD value of all your current holdings.

- Imported files β how many CSV files you have imported.
- Tokens in portfolio β the number of distinct tokens/coins you hold.
2.3 Allocation Chart (Donut)
The Portfolio Allocation section shows a donut chart visualizing the percentage breakdown of your holdings by token. Smaller positions are grouped under "Others" to keep the chart readable.
2.4 Bar Chart
Below the donut chart, a bar chart displays your portfolio value over time. You can adjust the time window using the filter buttons:
| Button | Period |
|---|---|
| 1d | Last 1 day |

At the top of the Dashboard you will find shortcut buttons:
- "+ Import CSV" β navigate to the import page.
- "View transactions" β go to the Transactions page.
- "Calculate taxes" β go to the Taxes page.
- "+ New view" β create a custom chart view with a specific name, time range, and token selection. You can save and delete custom views.
3. Import Transactions
Importing transactions is the core workflow of CriptoClaro. The process follows a four-step pipeline: Upload > Review Raw > Parse & Edit > Confirm.
3.1 Step 1: Upload
- Navigate to Import in the top navigation bar (or go to
/upload). - Select your exchange from the dropdown list. Supported exchanges include Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, KuCoin, Bybit, Gate.io, CoinMate, Anycoin, Buda, Lemon, Ripio, BitMax/AscendEX, and Generic CSV.
- Upload your CSV file by either:
- Dragging the file into the drop zone ("Drag your CSV here"), or
- Clicking "Select file" and choosing the file from your computer.
- Click "Upload".
- The file is uploaded and you proceed to the raw data review.
Notes:
- There is a file size limit. If exceeded, an error message indicates the maximum allowed size.
- Free plan users can import up to 2,000 transactions total. A progress bar shows your current usage. If you need more, click "View plans" to upgrade.
- If you are unsure how to export your CSV, click the link "Don't know how to export your CSV? See guide" at the bottom of the page.
3.2 Step 2: Review Raw Data
After uploading, you see the Review Raw Data screen showing the contents of your CSV file in a table format.
Purpose: This step lets you inspect the raw file and delete any incorrect, corrupted, or unwanted rows before parsing.
- The screen displays the total number of rows (e.g., "342 rows total") with pagination controls.
- Browse through the data. Each row shows the raw CSV values as columns.
- To delete incorrect rows, select the checkbox next to each row you want to remove, then click "Delete selected" and confirm.
- If the file does not match the expected format for the selected exchange, a warning appears: "The uploaded file does not match the expected format for {exchange}." If it looks like a different exchange, a suggestion is shown: "This file looks like an export from {exchange}. Go back and select the correct exchange."
- When satisfied, click "Parse" to proceed.
- Click "Back" to return to the upload page if needed.
3.3 Step 3: Review Parsed Transactions
After parsing, CriptoClaro converts the raw CSV rows into structured transactions. The Review Parsed Transactions screen displays:
- The number of parsed transactions (e.g., "185 transactions").
- The number of warnings (rows that were skipped or had issues).
- A consolidation summary, e.g., "342 raw rows were successfully consolidated into 185 transactions β no data loss, no errors."
Reviewing and editing parsed transactions:
- Each transaction is shown with columns: Date, Type, Token In, Amount In, Token Out, Amount Out, Fee, Note.
- You can filter transactions by:
- Date range (From / To)
- Type (Buy, Sell, Swap, etc.)
- Token In
- Token Out
- To edit a transaction inline, click the edit icon on the row. You can change:
- Type β select from BUY, SELL, SWAP, DEPOSIT, WITHDRAWAL, TRANSFER, INCOME, STAKING_REWARD.
- Token In / Token Out β correct the token symbol.
- Amount In / Amount Out β adjust the amounts.
- Note β add a note.
- Click "Save" to save edits or "Cancel" to discard.
- To delete transactions, select them and click "Delete selected".
- Self-transfer detection: CriptoClaro automatically detects self-transfers (e.g., moving crypto between your own wallets on the same exchange) and marks them accordingly so they do not affect your tax calculations.
3.4 Step 4: Confirm Import
- When you are satisfied with the parsed transactions, click "Confirm import".
- CriptoClaro saves the transactions to your account.
- A success message appears: "{count} transactions imported successfully." If duplicates were found, the message reads: "{count} transactions imported. {dupes} duplicates skipped." If all transactions already existed, you see: "All {dupes} transactions already existed. Nothing imported."
- You are redirected to the Transactions page.
3.5 Breadcrumb Navigation
Throughout the import process, a breadcrumb trail at the top shows your progress: Upload > Review raw > Parse & edit > Confirm. You can click on earlier steps to go back (e.g., "Back to raw file").
